Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day, a solemn reminder of the evil humans are capable of inflicting upon others as well as a hopeful reminder of the courage and steadfastness exhibited among those who survived as well as the millions who died.
If you would like to know more about the Holocaust, this documentary, movingly narrated by Orson Welles and Elizabeth Taylor in 1982 includes an introduction and epilogue by famed Nazi hunter, Simon Wiesenthal. The film provides a remarkably concise and accurate depiction of the heinous events; and in watching it last night, I can say with some confidence it describes various details and stories not widely known by the general public, both Jewish and non-Jewish audiences.
