Interview at HowStuffWorks
Recently interviewed by Alia Hoyt at HowStuffWorks on treatment approaches to chronic nightmares. A very concise and well-written article describes both our well-established IRT (imagery rehearsal therapy) method along with our more recent interest in decreasing nightmares with PAP therapy due to the frequent co-occurrence of sleep-disordered breathing in chronic nightmare patients.
She was kind to mention my forthcoming book, Life Saving Sleep, which delves deeply into the nature and treatment of sleep disorders in those affected by mental health conditions. We’re shooting for a June publication date, and both a trade paperback and e-book will be available.
